To help us respond quickly, your notice must include all required elements under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3). Incomplete notices may not be processed.
Our team reviews every notice to ensure it contains all required elements under U.S. copyright law. If a notice is incomplete, we may request additional information before taking further action.
If a notice is valid, we will promptly disable access to or remove the identified material from geekozi.com. This may include hiding or unlisting product pages while we review.
Where appropriate, we will notify the individual, contributor, or internal team responsible for the listing that their content has been flagged and provide them with a copy of the notice.
Each notice and our response are logged internally with a reference ID. We maintain these records as part of our compliance obligations and to help manage repeat infringement.
• Acknowledgement of receipt: within 1 business day
• Initial review: within 2 to 3 business days
• If a notice is facially valid, we may disable or remove the material pending review
• Counter-notice forwarding: within 1 business day of receipt
• Restoration: 10 to 14 business days after forwarding the counter-notice if we do not receive evidence of a court action
If you believe that content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. Counter-notices must include all elements required by 17 U.S.C. §512(g).
By submitting a counter-notice, you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address, or for Natrona County, Wyoming if you are outside the United States.
Counter-notices should not be filed to dispute customer dissatisfaction or unrelated issues.
A “repeat infringer” is any individual, contributor, or account linked to multiple valid copyright infringement notices regarding content on geekozi.com. Geekozi also considers attempts to repost substantially similar material after removal to be repeat infringement.
We aim to handle reports consistently and in good faith. Each case will be reviewed individually, and actions will be taken based on the seriousness and frequency of the infringement.
If you are a copyright owner or rights holder and wish to discuss licensing arrangements with Geekozi, please contact us at copyright@geekozi.com. Provide a description of the work, your ownership details, and the type of license you are offering.
If you believe that your content has been used with permission but without proper credit, please contact us with supporting information. We will review and, if appropriate, update the attribution.
Submitting a licensing or permission request does not guarantee that Geekozi will enter into an agreement. All requests are subject to internal review and business considerations. Geekozi reserves the right to decline any licensing or attribution request without further obligation.
Submitting a copyright notice or counter-notice that knowingly misrepresents the facts may expose the sender to legal liability, including damages and attorney’s fees, under applicable law.
We reserve the right to reject, disregard, or take further action against notices or counter-notices that are incomplete, abusive, or made in bad faith.
